The stand
It was made for a featherweight whose left hook kept beating the equipment available to her. When the stands on the market could not withstand her training, we built one that could.
She runs the company today.
That is where the story begins: with a practical answer to a real need.
The slogan
Express Your Power came later, shaped collectively by Andrew Lauden and the women working at Balazs at the time. They knew the equipment firsthand and understood what it could make possible.
Why this site exists
We build heavy bags, stands, gloves and wraps, and we sell them to gyms, police academies and universities. Those products have their own website.
This site is about what equipment alone cannot provide: what happens when someone hits a bag hard enough to surprise themselves.
We make the equipment. The women who train with it supply the meaning. The stories here are told by the people who lived them, in their own words, and published with their approval.
What we contribute
We donate what we make. Heavy bags, stands and gloves go to women’s shelters, domestic-violence recovery programs, girls’ youth boxing programs and community gyms.
Every grant is listed publicly — date, organization and what was sent — on the grant page. Publishing the details keeps the commitment visible and accountable.
